Non conf champ osu shutout and weak pac 12 champ demolished. Oklahoma and big10 champ penn state should have been in. What would bcs computers have had? Maybe we should expand to 8?

The results of the two games reflect what most of us have seen in college football all season:

After Alabama, the rest of the top teams have been pretty inconsistent.

There are a number of teams between 2-20 in the polls that can play their best game and soundly beat anyone else, but none have been that consistent in playing to that level.

Clemson looked like world beaters but they have hardly been much more consistently dominant than Ohio St all season.

In my mind, you could have picked half the Top25 for that #2 vs #3 game and had just as good a chance of of a game like Penn St/Wisconsin or Michigan/FSU as having a Penn St/Michigan or LSU/Louisville.

For the 1 vs 4 game, it's not that Washington seemed to have much chance. However, they did at least kept the game in shouting distance where something chaotic like a long deflected TD pass combined with some turnovers late could have given some chance. It was pretty similar to how other talented teams like LSU and Auburn have played Alabama and certainly doesn't mean Washington was undeserving of being there. Not sure any other potential #4 team would have done much better.

Four team playoff but instead of the committee use BCS formula.

The BCS computers had the same 4 the committee did.

Do you have a link or know the scores? I'm curious how far apart the top 6 were for BCS ranking.

seems like the last two years have proven we should cut it back down to two teams.

Truth, buckeyes and huskies were undeserving.

I agree tOSU should not have been there,

But Bama would have beat all 3 little10 teams worse than Washington. UDUB would beat OSU PSU and UM, no question.

Washington D proved it belongs, and there not much you can do against Bama's D it's just unreal.

So to fix your statement about yesterday. One team tOSU got absolutely embarrassed and hammered by the ACC champ, while the huskies just had no answer for Bama's D

Now addressing the committee , I think tOSU disaster will cause some pause going forward awarding non conference champ teams. It's very hard to justify worthiness without accomplishing something first.

I do think we are headed for 8 and always have been.
