That program is completely devoid of any backbone whatsoever and it starts with the head coach.

Sumlins is a recruiter and a coordinator. Head Coaching is not his strong suit.

He's not a great recruiter or coordinator.

This isn't a troll and it actually was agreed upon by multiple Aggie posters:
It is the culture of high school football in Texas. It isn't tough hard nosed football over there anymore. Every high school coach in that state has gone to the whoopty doo whirly bird offense, which has in turn fricked up defensive play from that state. They still produce offensive talent and qbs galore though

Example 1 - look at how Manziel was coddled and enabled.

You're right, of course.
Just hoping TAMU can take advantage of it when it does.

While true, it's not an excuse. We've gotten our share of players out of Texas and they adapted to our culture, not vice versa.
I have a lot of qualms about the Coach O hire, but I don't worry about our mental toughness or physicality.

The scary part of this though for A&M is UT is in a down cycle right now and they aren't capitalizing.

It's been all downhill since Tim Riggins went to prison.

Ex-Ms. DS worked at Regan High in ATX where they shot a lot of that show. Except for the burger place which was on SoCo near where we lived. Always made it weird for me watching that show again.

I don't like the food here, the music, the weather. And I can definitely do without everybody going on and on about the great state of Texas. I'm here to get noticed, get recruited and get my arse to LSU.

Aggies are 1-5 vs the Ms schools over the last 3 years.
This has occurred during one of the "high points" of aggie football.
Ps. They leave home games early -- so really aren't "good aggies".
