Because Eason is so damn slow and late delivering the ball he tries to adjust with velocity. I hope for improvement but I have no expectations that there will be substantial improvement.

I'm thinking it's a vision thing with Eason. He might not be seeing the field that great.

I'm hopeful that the game will slow down for him in his 2nd year.

It was well documented that Hutson Mason (without the velocity) had to get the ball out so much quicker.

It was why he was so hesitant to "let it rip" because he couldn't tell if the DBs beat their man or not.

Eason has the opposite problem.

Good QBs throw hard. Great QBs throw hard, but the ball arrives soft. That's the difference, and it can't be taught. Watch Stafford on his long passes. The ball gets there quick and just seems to settle in the WRs hands.
