By my best count, we will be at 84 scholarships including the 19 commitments we currently have.
We are going to sign at least 25, and can sign up to 28 if we wanted to so we are going to need to make some room.
Some of these commitments likely wont qualify, but lets assume they all do and we only sign 25. So 6 current players are going to be purged.
Some prime candidates include...
Desean Blair WR
Dominic Collins WR
Ryan Williams RB
Tavon Ross S
Greg Taylor S
Tyrell Jacobs DL
Grant Jones LB
Anthony Hines CB
Maybe some surprises (Ive heard some rumblings that Darvis Holmes isn't very happy), but I think this is the list you'll see the movement off of.
Actual transfers
Desean Blair WR
Ryan Williams RB
Tanner Owen OL
Greg Taylor S
Josh Moore DL
Marvin Zanders QB

If Smith doesn't break into the rotation by fall camp, I could see him going. Maybe a year early for him though.

I would add
Spencer Williams
Franklin Agbasimere
Rod Winters
Tanner Owen
Ray Wingo
Justin Smith

Maybe Wingo???
Of our sub-six foot WR's, he had about half the snaps of Floyd, who had half of Johnson. If any of the incoming freshmen look to leap frog him, I could see him bouncing.

I would say Williams is probably the 4/5 DE so I think he would say. Wingo would seem to be the 2 slot.
The rest are good additions though.
I was really hoping Agbasimere would stick.

Good list if we are to add on. We are kind of thin at DE which is why I didn't mention Spencer Williams.
Owens has just never gotten up to size. He still needs 20 to 30 pounds and he's going into his 3rd year in the program.

Me too. I was really hoping for another Charles Harris type story.

I only added Wingo because Floyd was taking more reps at the end of the year.
When Odom changed the front, Howard started taking reps and Williams all but disappeared. He played in every game and never recorded a TFL and had one QB hurry after changing the scheme. I think Tre Williams and Josh Moore will move past him.
Agbasimere's lack of experience really works against him at LB and he isn't big enough to move up to DE.

I wasn't really aware that Floyd was taking so many more snaps than Wingo.
Wingo was making more plays so just seemed as if he was playing more.

Wingo didn't have a reception after MTSU and didn't see the field at all vs SCe, UT, and Arkansas.
Floyd didn't get many targets but he was on the field a lot after the UK game.

I honestly think that people need to keep their eyes on Floyd who is smooth and quick. I don't get the Wingo thing.(Kid is fast as lightning) This name might surprise you, but I heard that Strong isn't too happy but that doesn't mean that he will leave. During Summer and Spring practices the players were raving about the wr Collins, but he was tied and glued to the bench last year.

Doesn't surprise at all, that "ESL players not getting playing time" crap had to come from somewhere.

It's unfortunate, but we can't play guys just because of where they came from.
Strong has to be better than the guys in front of him to play. He's not.
He still has his RS year, so I could see him transferring but he should stay.

So far Blair, Williams, Taylor, and Owen have departed

Just an add on, out of the 2013 recruiting class, 6 of 21 players are still on the roster.
Out of the 2014 class 15 of 28 are still on the roster.
42% retention on those two classes doesn't sound optimal when your program is built on development.

That's 4. Still will have at least 2-3 more leave

Actually 5 Zanders also is leaving.
Gabe has been saying expect around 10 transfers.

Not shocked, we return 10 starters on offense, most of the guys can see the writing on the wall. Crockett is going to be here for at least 2 more years. WR has a ton of young talent, and Lock has 2 years to go as well. Zanders can't throw the ball, people seem to completely ignore this.

Think Zanders had already announced his transfer when I made the OP and was reflected in those numbers.
Still have a few more to go at least, regardless
