While I realize he isn't ever going to be calling plays on either side of the ball, he has shown he is willing to allow his OC and DC to do their jobs without meddling.

Aranda has proven himself in the SEC. Canada has not yet, but is very likely to be, at worst, an upgrade from anyone we have had in awhile. And despite the recent decommits and misses on desired targets, LSU still has a #5 recruit ranking which has a shot to get even better.

The man is going to win a lot of games as long as he keeps good coordinators. And since LSU doesn't mind spending money to get them, the odds are pretty good to have at least decent ones.

LSU is going to beat any team with an average or worse D next year. O did that already this year. So that leaves, on next year's schedule, Florida, Auburn and Bama. If Canada pans out, we are going to a NY6 bowl. I'll take that every time. =)

Good to be back! =)

In all honesty, we were 1 foot from being in the Sugar Bowl this year.

To be honest, that's really nothing to brag about.
Vandy also almost made the Sugar Bowl.

No I know we had a bad year. 4 losses is 4 losses. But none were embarrassing or blowouts.

lol what loss was embarrassing? frustrating absolutely, but I wasn't embarrassed by any of those games.

Wisc: we were in FG range to win the game, but Harris derped a pick instead of running the ball for a couple yards or at least throwing it away.

Auburn: 1 second late snapping the ball on a winning TD pass.

Bama: your D is elite, not embarrassing for the offense to do horrible with a TE coach calling plays. Held you guys to 10 points and zero until the 4th.

Florida: most frustrating game of the 4, we moved the ball up and down the field on them, and shot ourselves in the foot several times, coming away with zero points in 3 tries within the 10 yard line.

Those 4 games were all like top 15 defenses nationally. Why we needed an OC =)

Its all they have. When the only proof you have of his success is he has a binder you have to just go on blind faith.

Nah. We are just like everybody else. Some of us are never happy ever, some are always pumping sunshine. I personally try to be realistic, but I do admit to wearing homer tinted glasses =)

maybe you just aren't smart enough to differentiate between 2 different fans.

Is it too early to award the Off-Season Championship? I figured Tennessee would make a run at a three-peat, but Canada has all but assured LSU of the title.

Quote from Canada at his intro presser today:

"I’m 1-0 at Alabama. In Northern Illinois we beat Alabama"

TN fans will not have much optimism this spring/summer except for pumping their new starting QB.

LSU fans will quickly convince themselves that Canada will be able to turn one of their mediocre QBs into a star.

LSU wins this year's OSC in a landslide.

it's called being a fan. Would it make you happier for LSU fans to just accept mediocrity?

I don't think 'mediocrity' is the right term...more like 'reality'.

But the answer is 'NO'. We would prefer LSU fans never accept reality.

Print the shirts, baby. Must feel good to have someone in the football building that has a win over Alabama, even if it was 13 years ago and Mike Shula was leading the charge.
