With Auburn landing Stidham and LSU landing Canada the conference will look a lot better offensively. Add in the fact that State, Bama, Hogs, Dawgs, Cats and Cocks all have returning QBs and young play makers around them, the SEC will dominate 2017.

I'm thinking you may be proven correct ... and there will still be some very decent defenses next season.

The SEC should return to form in 2017 for the most part. There will be half a dozen strong teams in the league.

QBs should be better, but the offenses' success will depend a lot on the O-lines. You can have great skill players but they can't get much done against a good defense if the Oline can't run block and pass protect well.

I could see the SEC improving a lot on the offensive side of the ball. QB play should improve drastically.

I feel like pretty much everybody finds us offensive already.

I'm certainly expecting USC's offense to improve. All of their offensive play-makers were young this season: top two QBs were true fresh., top 3 receivers (2 WRs and 1 TE) were true freshmen and sophomores, and their top 2 RBs were true freshmen and RS-freshmen.

Despite the youth we have 2 pretty talented QBs who both got starts and played a lot of snaps this season, we have 3 returning receivers with 500+ receiving yds (Samuels missed gms and had he played all season he'd have 800+ yds with 1 more gm to play), and our two young RBs had solid seasons (Dowdle would have around 1,100 rushing yds with a gm left to play had he not missed gms to injury).

We're adding 3 talented WRs to that group for next season if all sign their papers, and have a 4* RB transfer from UNC who will be eligible to play next season as well, so the depth at the skill positions only looks to improve.

The OL was poor and we're now replacing our OL coach, but we only lose 1 senior from the line, and due to several injuries this season a lot of linemen played meaningful snaps, so the line depth overall will be more experienced next season than they were this season.

Add to all that a full year under the new staff, and the start to next season should see a more experienced and prepared offense, so hopefully a more productive offense. And really with how the offense played to start the season, it's going to be hard not to improve....

You mentioned returning qbs, but most of them are bad. I expect more of the same

I hope you are right. I am so tired of hearing how down the SEC is and how good the Big 10 is.

Yep I have the same feeling that offenses will be greatly improved next year.

Hello? I know we're not that great, but we did put up 38 and 45 against our last 2 SEC opponents. Shurmur is back. Ralph Webb is likely gone, so that could hamper things a bit. Otherwise, we only lose 2 OL, our jet sweep/KR specialist, and our 6th string WR. Vandy's offense should be at least average next year.

The conference goes as the QB crop goes.
1. Hurts
2. Fitzgerald
3. Shea Patterson
4. Allen
5. Stidham
Not sure on A$M and LSU, but the other 5 West teams have a good future lined up

We're still waiting to see if Chubb and/or Michel return. My gut says Chubb goes and Sony stays.

Hurts, Bentley, Eason, Lock, S. Johnson, Fitzgerald, Shurmur, Patterson and Allen are all solid to very good, and most of them have great tools. I think Etling can be a decent game manager, and Stidham is very talented.

That's 11 of the 14 right there.
