Agreed whisky was the better team , but who thought that prior to the game , just a year before BAMA beat that team 35-17 .

You will be able to tell this bowl season if the SEC is really down. At first I thought yeah, we may struggle and be lucky to be .500...but after looking at some bowl projections, there are a lot of other shitty teams out there and there will be some very winnable match ups.

Nah, the B10 hype started when Ohio State embarrassed Alabama in the inaugural CFP.

The part that makes me sick is that if we had run the ball on that last play instead of throwing the pick, we could have kicked the go-ahead field goal with little time remaining.

Maybe it all started when Alabama lost to OSU. Just a thought.

Bama has had 7 games against big 10 teams since 2010 and is 6-1 with a average score of 36-13. Also 3-1 against Ohio St all time and ran Meyer out of the conference.
LSU on the other hand has shite the bed against OOC teams 3 of the last 5 seasons.

I've always been a believer in the "win for the conference" mentality. It is hard to put aside our dislikes of fellow conference members, but when our conference brethren lose OOC games, it causes a big ripple effect.
Forget the "it helped get rid of Miles" thoughts for the moment, too.
Had LSU won over Wisconsin, I firmly we would not be listening to all this "the Big 10 conference is so good" media hype now
One game, one day in Lambeau Field did this.
One errant pass by the QB late in the 4th. So close.
I do agree that it's kind of ironic that for all the criticism the SEC has gotten from many pundits about being down --which is certainly true to some extent -- Wisconsin's win over LSU has been the most influential game of the season in building up the Big10's credibility.
That the same pundits who say the SEC is so down that Alabama, Auburn or Florida shouldn't count LSU as a quality win then congratulate teams for beating Wisconsin when their resume rests mainly on that win over LSU (by a razor thin margin at home nonetheless) exemplifies the type "quick sound bite" or "talking point" dialogue that plagues more than just sports journalism these days.
