One of the main reasons Marshall wanted the guarantees last time around was that he recognized that Mizzou was in need of a complete rebuild. Mizzou still is in that same position.
If Mizzou wants a quality and proven coach it will take $4-5 a year over a 7 year contract, or a rolling contract.
It's never been something that Mizzou has done with new coaches. Both MA and GP ended being well paid among coaches, but neither started that way.
