Whether you want to admit it or not, Gus appears to be extremely close to being an elite coach. It is just the guy's ego/stubborness that causes him to refuse to further innovate his offense + refuse to admit he needs QB development/talent evaluation help
We seem to have assembled a quality coaching staff, we have talented depth at nearly every position group and the program as a whole seems to have a good foundation.

Yep. We can all sit here and see a path that can make him a great coach, there are plenty of coaches you can't do that with. Most of the tools are there. It wouldn't be a monumental step. We sometimes forget how new he is to college coaching.
