we got beat in every phase of the game. There was nothing really positive on our part. Bentley got a cheap shot on the slide, but it wouldn't have mattered. Their DL absolutely destroyed our OL. We couldn't pressure Watson fast enough to make him make bad decisions. We damn sure couldn't run the ball. We didn't use signals and Bentley would run to the sideline to get the plays, but they still picked up our formations and their athletes were just better than our's. King had his worst game of the year. We have nobody to blame but ourselves, we have to pay for better talent.

All the good will and positives built up all year by the coaches were thrown out the window in one game for me. I expected we would lose, but the complete embarrassment was hard to stomach. They were literally calling timeouts for curtain calls during the game. I've never seen that done in football before, and the worst part was that it was our fault for allowing it to happen by completely shitting the bed. It also pissed me off thinking about how Spurrier always played it conservative at the end of the games with them when he could have run up big scores a few times.

Not a single player or unit looked like they deserved to be on the field last night. That to me was more humiliating than 63-17, and I didn't think it was possible for that to ever happen. Hopefully, the team and coaches will rebound and win whatever bowl we go to so we don't lose all the momentum this program was building the second half of the season.

What an embarrassing arse kicking. We are a very young team, but damn, we looked like high schoolers out there.

And our O line was just absolutely shredded the entire game. Again. Please fire Elliott.

1989 all over again. Gamecocks managed just 155 yds behind Dickie DeMasi & Co in the that one after Ellis went down mid-season. Ford could've wrote the final score on the board that night and he actually eased up 2H. the only solace last night was it didn't occur in W-B.

until something is done to fix both the OL/DL, there will always be a chance for outcomes like last night. recruiting alone may not help our future OL. there is a core of young skill players at USC which will have success. the worst part last night was watching #7, a professed Gamecock growing up, play against Carolina.

Muschamp suffered his worst loss as a HC. he lost in Baton Rouge his first season 41-11, and to FSU his third season 37-7. the opponent's behavior from coaches to players last night should stick with him for years to come. he's been a part of many rivalries, but never a blood feud that has involved schools with a history born as ours.

the petty shite DS pulled before kickoff and later calling timeouts (this ain't basketball) speaks directly to the person he actually is, not the person he publicly claims to be. he never had a chance to show his full arse in this series until last night, due to Spurrier's presence. I expected exactly what I saw from that jackass.

bowl game be damned, the 2017 opener in Charlotte better see a Gamecock program ready to physically cut the arse of everyone on its schedule.

I'm going to have to watch it again, sober, to try to remember every aspect of what happened last night but ... what I do remember was really bad. They bent us over and went in dry.

I don't remember ever thinking we quit though. From what I remember we kept fighting ... we were out-manned, out-depthed, out-talented.

I'm not one but surprised in the least we got drug, literally, up one side and down the other of the field last night. I had hope that we could pull one off but never truly expected it.

Where Clemson is really good, we're really bad. Draft projections have them with 3 or 4 first rounders. The talent discrepancy is glaring and how anyone can't be pissed at Spurrier for the way he left us is beyond me. It also shows how bad the SEC East is as well. We were competitive in every single game this season except for last night. It was so bad, I couldn't even get pissed while watching except for those BS timeouts Datboy called towards the end. I could kick that blank square in the nuts until his momma hurt for that crap. I am pissed today, but that's after having time to process it all, seeing all the stupid blankin taters on facebook, and the fact I've yet to hear a announcement that Elliott has been fired.

Yeah, I never really saw Dabo Sweeney and his team like that before. They made it an effort to be total douchebags.

I mean, Dabo was facing a completely new staff that never even did any trash talking this week. Why be a prick?

As for the game, like one poster said...where they are at their best, we are at our worst. It was a complete mismatch and a total embarrassment. I hope recruits forget about this one quickly.

We competed worse than the FCS and mid-major opponents that Clemson played against this season. Competed worse than any other ACC basketball school they played. This is our in-state rival game where you're supposed to throw stats and records out the window. We threw our game-plan and effort out of ours...

After the surprising win over Tennessee, our defense has been back-sliding with their tackling effort with each game. Where we saw some semblance of improvement, I now can't say there is any with the way the defense has played the last 2-3 weeks. And Bentley seems to have lost whatever confidence he had early on, although I know those games were played at home.

I won't ever mind.....well, too much.....if we lose games as long as the team fights hard to the end and competes. But losing with little effort, like the game don't matter, nauseates me to no end. And to do it while losing badly to Clemson - I have no words to describe what I feel....

Don't have many thoughts other than we got manhandled.
I quit watching about the start of the 2nd quarter. I just had other shite to do than to watch our team not be competitive in a rivalry game.
OL looked worse than ever.
Defense forgot how to tackle, then started playing scared.
Offense was inept as hell.
I hope that one day we can lay that type of beatdown on them. HBC wouldn't do it when he had the chance which is weird because he used to hang 70 on teams for fun.
I hope Muschamp has the mean in him to mark this one down as a personal goal while coach at SC, and absolutely drag that team once or twice in his career.

I don't think we ever quit. They're just better.
The whole "they wanted it more" cliche is a load of BS.
Talent then coaching is far superior to "wanting it" don't tell me those kids on our roster "didn't want it" in a prime time game against a national title contending hated rival.
Our youth, inexperience, lack of talent, preparation and coaching is what fricked us, not effort.

This is what baffles me. We are supposed to be the SEC team with deeper pockets.
WTF is going on? Are we spending too much on Sandy volleyball and tennis?

I need Muschamp to have this one get under his skin for life. No more playing to simply win. Foot on the gas the whole game, every game. I pity the team when bowl practice starts, Coach Boom started re-emerging on Saturday.

What's going on? Spurrier and his lazy arse assistants couldn't be bothered to spend a lot of time recruiting his last few years. We had a top 10 team, why work hard recruiting when you can be out playing golf? Throw his "2 to 3 more years" comment in on top of that fact and you have the 3 - 9 team that couldn't beat the Citadel that he left Muschamp. It'll take a couple more years of hard coaching and strong recruiting classes to get us back to where we were.
