UH had 1 loss when Sumlin was hired by A&M. They lost the conference championship game after word got out that Sumlin was gone.

A&M would never... and I mean NEVER... have offered Sumlin a job if his team had 3 losses at UH. There is no way he would have gotten an offer from A&M after losing to Navy, SMU, and Memphis.

Say what you want but this would never have happened. LSU dodged a bullet in my opinion.

He is 22-4. Even taking out 2010 for Sumlin he was 30-10 and he inherited a team from Art Briles.

Good lord. Sumlin gave up 58 to UTEP, 47 to Air Force in a bowl, 56 to Rice, 59 to USM, 49 to USM in the title game. His teams melted in any sort of spotlight.

Sound familiar?
