Regardless of how you feel about Wright Thompson, this is well said. A little bit of Oxford died when Coup closed.

An Ode to the Coup

I read this while listening to Nearer My God Thee, yup that has to be one of the saddest articles I've ever read.

Their food was shitty and they were always late.

Not a good combination when you're in the hospitality industry.

#teamBuffaloBill

Was a staple of my college career and I would always make a run by there every time I was in town

Wing Fanatic was 10x better. Unfortunately, it was also poorly run.

*pours one out*

Whether it was good, bad, shitty, overrated, delicious, you all have a coup story or at least your story ended with, "then we ordered coup." Early 90's it seemed everytime I went to oxford to visit friends our story ended that way with smoking the delivery guy out for his tip. Rick's in Starkville had a Coup operating out of it in for a little bit back in '94, 95-ish. You'll come to miss those little charms of college life whether you liked it or not. It was a part of my oxford experience as much as the Hoka, Super Tyrone playing a Fraternity party, the Gin, The Beacon, spinning your beer in ice on hwy 6, and those shitty apartments off old taylor.
