Was the school itself? I mean no coach has ever succeeded there without cheating. Even then they couldn't even win the west. Maybe Ole Miss is so awful even Saban couldn't win there? Just a theory

Or maybe it was because he didnt take over a team built by a probable HOF coach, and wasnt able to use "Us against the world" to salvage a season that was looking downhill.

If I recall correctly, Orgeron did cheat at Ole Miss, and still didn't win. Make of it what you will.

Last I checked your program really wasn't setting the world on fire before Saban arrived.

Ole Miss was shite when he became Head Coach..... Let me ask this.... Did he ever get to use his recruites? And when he Left did Ole Miss have a lot more talent....

Nope he didn't. Which is why Nutt was decent for a couple years and then went 5-7 and 2-10 with the players he recruited.

He wasn't prepared to be a HC at a major program then and it's still unknown whether he's prepared to be one now.

We may find out by the end of November.

Miles may or may not be a HOF coach, but the team he "built" hadn't been doing much before Orgeron took it over. No top 10 finishes in the last four years, a 15-11 SEC record over the last 3+ years and only a 19-10 overall record over the past 2+ years is not exactly a ready-to-drive Ferrari being handed over to Orgeron.

It's really laughable how for years fans of every other SEC team couldn't stop talking about how bad Miles was and how LSU was fricked because he wasn't any good, and now that we've fired him, he's suddenly a "probable Hall of Fame coach". Trashing LSU for having a shitty coach, and when we fire him, trashing LSU for firing a "probable Hall of Fame coach" is just par for the course among the most idiotic collection of people who ever lived (i.e. the fan bases of the SEC).

Nutt came in and won with his players. He just wasn't ready to run a program. Ole Miss just hired him to soon.

If you paid attention to any interviews or press conferences with the guy currently at the head of your football team, you would know he openly admits he wasn't ready to be a head coach and takes all the fault for his failures. He even goes so far to mention specifics and has said this for years.

Research before posting? You're getting way too complicated for the SEC rant.

The idiot called full contact practice in the ipf during a rain delay against mizzou.

He had absolutely no clue what he was doing and op is retarded for not realizing how much a coach can learn in a decade.

I would argue they didn't do too well even after cheating.

He was bad. His team would have stood by and watched him drown in a swimming pool without helping.
