its not like Harris didn't try throwing it. He threw it 19 times. Etling is not a super QB that will open up your ground game. I don't see him doing much better

I'm not saying Etling is the answer to all QB problems at LSU, but you'd have to be blind to say there isn't a difference in the passing game over the last 3 games. Not even from an efficiency standpoint, but just how it is executed. Under Miles, a team did not even have to prepare to defend much in terms of the pass game. You knew when the team lined up if it was going to be a run or pass most of the time, and if it was a pass, there was nothing remotely special or complicated about it. A sub standard QB didn't help out the situation either. At least now Bama will have to prep for a pass game. It's not going to be dominant, but it will open the run at least a little if LSU can execute. And Fournette and Guice need just a little to turn a run into a 7 yarder here and there.

I'm not saying LSU comes away with a win. But it's at least going to look different in my opinion. And if it doesn't, then back to the drawing board next year with a new coaching staff to makes sure it does change. When Ole Miss can give you a run for your money, LSU needs to be able to do it as well.

I would call the close games in BR the last 2 times a very good run for the money. We won the NC in 2012 and in the PO in 2014. Both year's we could have been knocked out with a different bounce of the ball in BR.

My point is that I think for this game you shouldn't judge Coach O. Les was better suited to beating us although I know you needed the change just like UGA did. But, Coach O shouldn't be judged on how well he plays the best coach in history his first time out at LSU.
