To get a better barometer of LSU you just might want to take the last 3 games....which are of course since Les was fired and Etling has been Quarterback. If you think this is the same team then you haven't watched the games.

Op knows this. I like stats though. Have an upvote. Bama has owned us the last 5 games so I'm in no position to talk shite to them. Here is to a good game, I hope.

Missouri, Southern Miss, and Ole Miss.

Okay, we'll take USC, Kent State, and Kentucky.

Maybe. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that the three defenses you faced in those games were abysmal.

Missouri - 109th
Ole Miss - 107th

Only Southern Miss is highly ranked on D, but that's smoke and mirrors - take out the 41 yards vs Savannah State (WHO?) and their ranking plummets. This team gave up 400+ yards to Kentucky and 532 yards and 55 points to UTSA - a team averaging 29 points and 391 yards per game.

So, yes, LSU is improved... but they've demonstrated that against three completely horrible defenses. They've got Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M - all with above average defenses - to prove that these improvements are legit, and not just the benefit of playing horrid defenses.

sure, let's manipulate them to where Bama and LSU is number 1 and 2 in all of the stats. Let's not count the Bama's offense turnovers and penalties. We can omit the games that LSU lost and just pretend they didn't happen
