First thing's first, we need to drop the whole "we only recruit good men" shite. We were the best team we've ever been when we recruited dudes that could flat out ball no matter what their attitude was. Hate him for how he left the program all you want, but Petrino will always win more than Bert because he doesn't get hung up on stupid shite. He wants to win. Period. That has to be our mindset if winning big is the priority. Right now it seems like our graduation rate and "holier than thou" viewpoint on recruiting is the priority. We will never win that way.

Yep, this isn't Boy Scouts. More violent athletes = more wins.

It's not just Bert though... most of our fans feel that way. I've said this before but we're in the wrong conference if we're hung up on that.

I tend to agree with this when it comes to victimless crimes (weed, alcohol, grades, etc) though I'd definitely draw the line at violent crimes and the type of shite that Baylor swept under the rug.

I just feel like Bert is holding the kids to too high of a standard. Hell, Collins spent practically all of his 3 years here in the doghouse for ticky tack nonsense despite the fact that he was obviously a good kid at heart and balled out on Saturdays. Look at all the Florida guys we ran off (Edwards, Robinson, Floyd, etc) who could have been big contributors this year or next. We lost a year of Randy Ramsey for some of the same reasons. Think for a second about a linebacker corps this year Ellis coupled with Greenlaw and Ramsey both having a year's worth of starts under their belts.
