When things slow down, should we bump the threads where people shite in their hands and threw it at us and smeared our character for warning about this?
Or should we take the high road?

What the frick are you talking about?
Posted on 10/15/16 at 3:01 pm to Sandwich
I'm talking about daring to be honest and criticizing Kirby Smart for obvious shite the first few weeks.......and being told I'm the worst piece of shite scumbag moron on the planet for doing so.
And now everyone suddenly can see it.
Comprende?

You're all that whether you criticize KS or not.

I'm not blind though. So, at least, I have that going for me..

Jeff I have major respect for your opinions, especially when it comes to politics and the state of this country, but will you give credit where it's due if Kirby turns it around? You were the first one to bash people when they melted on Richt when he was here.

Of course I will. And I will be pulling for him to do it.
Maybe one good thing about today is that now we can be honest about this coach and team and people won't be so weird about pointing out obvious flaws. And they'll let go of Richt as the blame for everything.

I do believe that some blame is on Richt, mainly lack of quality depth on the offensive line. But the fact can't be ignored that one look at the state sheet shows domination by us, yet we still lost. That's coaching. Can Kirby turn things around? I think so, but all these people calling for his head are crazy. Building a program takes time. Still no excuse to lose to Vandy on homecoming.

That makes perfect sense to me. And I agree with all of it. And I'm not starting this thread to try and make it look like I have some kind of expertise where I saw something that made me think we'd lose to a f'ing Vanderbilt. It's just that some things have really rubbed me the wrong way, and it's clear that Kirby Smart has a lot of on the job training to do about learning how to lead a team.....and be an effective head coach.
Like I said though, I will be pulling for him.

In all fairness, this applies to you even without your criticism of Smart.

Georgia Boy already beat you to that one.

This game should be a wakeup to all the fans giving Kirby a complete pass on the season. We may not lose another game, but we are clearly a very average team with serious flaws, including the coaching staff at this point. Let's hope, for the sake of my liver, things change going forward.

Even though he was my 5th choice, I wanted to believe hiring Kirby was the right call. Obviously he still has time to turn things around and build the program to where it should be, but anyone saying right now that he doesn't look completely in over his head is just lying to themselves.

Remember he is still executing with majority CMR players. Would we be better off with CMR and his staff? Not sure. We've been trending downward. How many Fr and So are we playing?

Jeff, I have to say, I agree with your thinking in all of this. There are clearly a number of deficiencies that need to be dealt with for this to ever work out for Kirby, but I'm pulling for him.
That said, the thing that is most frustrating to me is how inconsistent everything has been. We started out with bad kicking, spotty passing, good running. Second and third games, we couldn't run for shite, passing was spotty still, but got better, kicking was still bad. Next couple of games, we can suddenly run, but the passing game gets worse. Today, we're back to not being able to run for a yard when we need it, but the QB posts over 300 yards passing again. Oh, and now we have some decent kicking. It's like the only consistent area of play has been special teams (bad pretty much all around).
