No. No word. No truth here, or any semblance of it, but I feel inclined to conclude...
that when he got to the ER in College Station his heart rate and blood pressure were high enough to merit a drug screen. In other words, the ER doctor was concerned enough about his HR and BP that he felt forced to order up a screen. Not because he wanted the kid to be guilty of anything, but because he NEEDED to know why the HR and BP were high.
JUST A GUESS HERE.

He failed blood test for apmhetamines

the part that is questionable to me is how those blood tests got back to the coach/school. do athletes have to sign HIPAA release forms with the schools to disclose any and all medical records?

My best guess exactly. He was taking speed before games to "maximize" his potential.
Again, JUST A GUESS.

He's covered under UT's insurance. What UT wants to know they're provided with.

based on what some UT fans have been saying, kid had already failed two drug tests and may or may not have liked to dabble in cocaine

Multiple repeat offender if it was drugs.

just because he's covered by UT's insurance does not legally give them access to his medical records. he'd still need to have signed a HIPAA release. i assume scholarship athletes do this, but i don't know for sure, which is why i asked

He didn't have a single fumble last game. There's no place for that kind of player at Tennessee.

1) He signed it 4 years ago, on the day that he signed those other 158 papers.
2) No hospital medical records department in College Station, Texas is going to tell The University of Tennessee, during the football season, "I'm sorry. Bill Clinton got HIPPA passed and I'm obliged to it."

what does that have to do with releasing his bloodwork to Tennessee? But yes, they absolutely would have to follow HIPAA regulations

yeah I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm just an attorney
