Just now watched the Ole Miss game. Am I crazy to think we might play better without Hogg? He's so careless with the ball and goes on cold streaks constantly. Passes looked crisp, good flow, hardly any turnovers last night....

Our whole team is careless with the ball, and Hogg has been the best player on our team too often to say we're better without him.

Execution was crisp last night. And we tore up a bad defensive effort from a weak Ole Miss.

if we had hogg they probably wouldnt have played the majority of the game in a zone, and if gilder wasnt on fire it might not have even mattered that they did.

stats thru Ole Miss game for your consideration

Offensive Efficiency (ie, points scored per 100 possessions player is on the court)

Hampton 116.3 (wow, really??)
Tyler 114.9
Williams 114.7
Gilder 114.2

Trocha 111.6

Tavario 106.6

Hogg 101.1
Collins 99.7

In conference Hogg's OE is 88.7 while Collins, getting first team minutes now, is 113.8.

Hogg actually shows out okay on the defensive end (middle of the pack) but he's rarely if ever been our best player. Carolina is the only game I can even think of (and even then he had 6 turnovers). That said, we aren't deep enough to remotely be a better team without him.
