Match-ups to watch for UT vs A&M

The biggest match-up problem I see for UT is their secondary against A&M's talented receiving corp. I admittedly haven't watched a full game for A&M. What are some of the other match-ups to look for?

I'm far more worried about our LBs.

Aggy front 7 vs VOLS OL and Dobbs' legs

VOLS WRs vs Aggies DBs is an edge for Tennnessee.
VOLS DL vs. Aggies OL is as well.

I have yet to see anyone but Vol homers claim UT has a superior WR corps. I have watched 2 full UT games and have not been impressed whatsoever with your WRs.
Personally think the battles to watch are ATM pass rush vs UT OL, too see if both DT QBs can rush effectively and aTm's WR corps production even though Knight is inaccurate.

This. They will run it down our throat and Jumper won't be able to do a damn thing about it

Agreed. They have allowed 343 yards and 371 yards to the only two teams they have faced with good quarterbacks this season. Their corners should have trouble with Josh Malone and Jauan Jennings

I think both WR corps will have an edge on the corners. I think both outside rushes will have an edge on the OL.
However the biggest things to watch for me if how UT's front 7 handles A&M's run game and if A&M's D (as a whole because there is more than one way to do it) handles Dobbs' play making ability.

Vols WR have a pretty strong strategy of lulling the competition to sleep until the 4th quarter. Poor route running and dropped passes all over the place and then all of a sudden in the 4th they're wide open running down the side line.
So Aggie DB's vs the weight of their eye lids in the 4th will be a good match up to keep in mind.

Josh Malone and Jauan Jennings are #1 and #7 in the SEC in YPC. I believe Malone either leads or is 2nd in tSEC in touchdown receptions

That's a very fair assessment

Another key factor is containing Knight's running.
Rush yards to date
Knight 392
Dobbs 267

A&M's offensive line (starters and reserves combined) has allowed a total of 22 tackles for loss and 5 sacks in 5 games.
Tennessee's entire team has 33 tackles for loss.

You say that like it's bad or something. That's tied with Alabama for 2nd in the SEC. A&M has just been extraordinary at blowing up the line of scrimmage so far

Jalen Tabor and Quincy Wilson said the same thing before our game.

Knight vs Tenn LBs.
If McDowell and Jumper start because JRM and Kirkland are out... those two are going to have to have the game of their lives to contain him.

Disagree, Barnett has the edge on our LT (Gennessy) but I think the units as a whole are evenly matched
