All things being equal, I'm likely to give Chubb the benefit of the doubt and err towards pointing the finger at a suspect OL. I think Herrien looked great (who's on campus no help from the prior regime. No one thought he'd be able to make the grades), and Holyfield is promising, too.

If we can patch the holes in the OL, any RB who wears the G will look like they've taken a quantum leap forward.

Not entirely true. Just because nobody thought he would make the grades, doesn't mean Richt didn't recruit him. However, Smart finished the recruitment off, so I would say both deserve credit.

That said (And I am not talking about you, Vox) I wish both sides of the Pro-Richt and Anti-Richt groups could just let it go. He is gone. He is not coming back. Smart will need time to grow and develop.

We sound like a bunch of guys who broke up with their girlfriends. One side moans and groans about what he had and wishes he never broke up with her....and the other side wouldn't say a good thing about her if a gun were put to his head.
