So far this season we've had very few chances to return punts it seems like.

I'm wondering if this is because of the way the opposition is punting to us (realizing who is back there), the way we are lining up to receive the punt or are we just not doing a very good job at blocking the guys running down field? Or are we actually returning a normal amount of punts, and i'm just going crazy?

I haven't noticed many returnable punts. Most have been high, long hang-time deals. There have been maybe 2 that I thought Christian could have returned for a few yards, but I think he has played it about right. Sooner or later somebody is going to hit a line drive or outkick his coverage and CK will have a legit shot at a good return.

Due to the weird punting rules in college allowing players downfield before the punt, it's getting more and more difficult to return punts.

If it's properly executed and the punter doesn't out kick his coverage, there's pretty much zero chance to return, no matter how good your blocking is.

They aren't putting it in the hands of Kirk intentionally. He's dangerous as hell on returns
