Meh, my hate won't make Saban go away sooner.

I don't really hate any SEC teams. I love the SEC for being so fun in general.

OK Ghandi. Hate is a relative term, but the point remains. If you arent at least perturbed that your team isn't competing with Bama and the likes, your team will get eaten alive in the long run.

I agree with you that a willingness to keep up with the Joneses in the SEC is a healthy motivation to prevent underachievement. My favorite part about the SEC is that it gives us a new measuring stick to judge ourselves by that has more substance behind it than the old orange stick we used to use.

With that said, the only SEC coach that has beaten Saban the last two years is a coach a program like ours or Auburn's could have bought with relative pocket change prior to him going to Ole Miss. No one this side of Archie Manning could have predicted the goofy girls basketball coach could slay that dragon, and beating yourself up about that fact is like being pissed you didn't know last week's lottery numbers.

Point being I know my team won't compete until we luck out and hire a guy who surpasses expectations. Until then my team is what it is, and hating some other team for having their once-in-a-lifetime coach I wish my team had is unhealthy jealousy.

Outside of a hiring a winning lottery ticket type coach and getting woman cheerleaders my program has done everything it can do to try to compete with the Bamas and Auburns of the SEC. Between now and then I chose to enjoy what I can rather than running around in a tizzy because someone has it better than me.
