Bama has won SEC titles in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s. They've won national titles in the 60s, 70s, 90s, 00s, and 10s.

I think the whole "they're only good b/c Saban and when Saban retires they'll suck" narrative is wishful thinking combined with selective memory of the past. Bama was elite before Saban. He took them back to levels they'd not seen in several years, but in the 8 years before Saban Bama had 3 10 win seasons with 3 different coaches.

I'm still waiting for AU to bump back to back 10 win seasons together. A healthy percentage of the AU fan base has NEVER seen their team do that.
