Bad snap. McIwailn runs out of bounds for like an 18 yad los instead of throwing it away. Fix the OL. those guys are pansies. Then think about the hot shot freshman QBS.

The freshman QB was the only one able to move the ball. A STFU and go to bed. It was a bad game we knew these would happen going into the season.

Someone needs to just stop posting a thread for every thought they have and just go to bed.

McIlwain looked light years better than Orth tonight.

Let Brandon take his lumps & gain experience. Best move going forward.

Honestly, the offense moves better with BMac. Perry is a very good #2 to have, in case shite hits the fan, but he can't be the one this team relies on to win the game.

While I agree that mcilwain is a better option than Orth, a lot of what roper has done in the past is dependent on getting designed qb runs to work. With this OL, we can't run anyone.

Every game I get more and more frustrated with how incompetent and negligent our previous staff was in recruiting their last 3 or 4 years. Coming off record success at our school - 5 wins in a row against Clemson, 4 bowl wins in a row, three 11 win seasons and 3 straight top 10 finishes -the best they could do was leave us with a team where a walkon is our best option at qb, lines that get pushed around, and a defense that has no clue how to tackle. It's embarrassing.

Orth should not see the field again this year barring injuries. Let the other guys get experience the rest of the year so they are better prepared for next year. Orth has proven other than Vandy he can't win against anyone else, and Vandy isn't on the schedule again this year.

Orth fricking sucks. In addition, it made no sense running the read option with him in because there's no threat of Orth keeping it

I agree. I love what Spurrier did for our program and the success he achieved, but he and his staff royally fricked us. I don't even follow recruiting so I'm wondering how the recruiting gurus weren't sounding the alarms a few seasons back

People gave Spurrier a pass because we had won 11 games three years in a row, so people assumed he must just know more than everyone else about the players he was signing. Personally, I think even Spurrier started believing he could win regardless what players he had. Instead of fighting for the difference makers that require full recruiting effort, he settled for 3 star kids, bottom tier 4 stars, and 4 star players who had real academic issues as far as qualifying. The day Shane Beamer left and Spurrier put his son in charge of recruiting was the day our program started descending into where we are today.

Muschamp said before the season that he wasn't going to prepare for the future, he was going to play to win this year.

Forget it Coach, I know we're only 2 games in, but play for the future...

We are going to have to go with BMac for the simple reason that he's the only one who can move around enough to survive with the abysmal OL that has been on the field.

Bubba was not the problem, or darn sure he was not the only problem. Sure, he had a difficult way about him with some of the HS coaches and Bubba should not have been kept at recruiting coordinator once a couple of complaints rolled-in ... but Beamer gets too much credit and there were/are so many other factors involved with our sudden decline.

#1 ... Beamer was the beneficiary of having had some of the best instate talent in decades here when he was the RC.

#2 ... Beamer gets credit for a couple of players who were courted under David Reeves - and make no mistake about it, that bastard David Reeves was a scumbag.

Yeah I think Orth is the better game manager right now - he knows the plays better and knows how to respond against SEC competition better.

Now having said that however, he also needs an OL to be solid, and needs a capable running game to give balance so he won't be bum-rushed on every down. And we just don't have that right now...

It reminds me of 2006 and the tandem of Blake Mitchell (the passer) and Syvelle Newton (the scrambler). We had a sad OL that season too, although a better run game with Boyd and Davis. But Newton gave USC an added element of running with the ball that kept LBs honest and on their heels.

This season, we have no run game to speak of much, and our OL (if they keep playing like they did last weekend) appears sad again. Orth can't just stand in the pocket and look for receivers because opposing defenses are bringing the kitchen sink against him 2 out of 3 downs every possession. We need a QB that can scramble out of the collapsing pocket, get to the edge, and run for 1st down markers until we get the rest of the offensive shite straight.

It doesn't mean that Perry isn't good enough to be the QB. It means the rest of the offense around isn't yet.....
