I get that, but everyone immediately jumping to fire him is being ridiculous.

What would happen? Play the rest of the season with an interim coach, waste the last year of an all-world RB, and pray that someone like Tom Herman would want to come into what is essentially a rebuild after a lost season?

I think Tom Herman is a small window of possibility. I think Jimbo is even smaller. I don't think what we saw Saturday is going to translate into many wins. So the season seems lost either way at this point. I know it is one game. So I guess we will see, but what makes you think he will change after 4 years of not working? In my mind he is the best coach we have had (tenure of Saban), but now it is time to move on. I am not real specific about timing.

He's been the same coach the entire time at LSU

yep he sure has. However at one time he was able to win with this coaching style. Well competition has caught on to what he is doing or just caught up to the talent of his teams. So now it is time to make a change to the strategy (i.e. Nick Saban, Bob Stoops). Les seems completely uninterested in even opening a dialogue that his offense is no longer effective the way it is currently being run.

Is averaging coaching skills a real thing?

History shows, (as far as Alabama's concerned) that it doesn't matter who's coaching LSU.

Nick Saban was 4-0 against Alabama

I was referring to the series record, and everyone was 4-0 vs us during that period, we were almost on the death penalty.

i can see the other teams wanting us to keep leslie, but A&M has no reason for wanting him to stay since he owns y'all.

maybe...just maybe...Wisconsin has a good football team. All of this was set up by a combination of sky-high expectations and the way LSU ended last season on a note of uncertainty. All of LSU's goals are still attainable. I don't think they are as bad as they played this weekend. First game of the season on the road against a team known for playing smart football. R-E-L-A-X. It gets better.

When people post things like this I immediately wonder if they even watched the LSU game

i can't argue with that. more reason for me to support poor les while he's under duress.

Because none of his stuff works anymore.

It's time for a change.

The bottom line is "we" all knew that Miles was on a short leash coming into this year. Anything short of not winning the west and going to the SECCG would get him fired. We came out and stunk it up against Wisconsin so the process has started way earlier than any of us could have expected due to the off season expectations of this team.

Now it is only one game and Wisconsin might be better than anyone expected them to be. We could go on a run here who knows, but if we continue to stumble it will happen. Just sometimes change is needed. He has been here for 12 years and to be honest watching his presser yesterday he looked and sounded like a tired coach. Really reminded me of how Spurrier sounded before he stepped down at USCe.

I love the fuching morons who say les should stay but we should get a new OC. He's literally had the exact same offense since 2008. The only year we had a have decent passing game was in 13 when we had Mett, Odell and Jarvis.

Miles is the only constant.

It seems worse this time around. People that have historically defended miles are calling for his job after this loss. It's only going to get worse as the season progresses.

The A&M and Texas Tech wins calmed the storm. The off season hires of Aranda and Craig boosted every ones moral up. The players that came back for their senior year as well. Miles keeping Cam didn't go over well but was offset by the first things I talked about simmered that down a bit.

But, in the back of every ones mind it was SECW Champs or bust. Now again it is only one loss and all the goals are reachable but any loss now at this point and the word is he is gone and Coach O will be named interim head coach.
