They played Clemson FFS, not South Alabama. I've never seen Auburn fans overreacting so badly in all my life.

I think it was the play calling and the offseason.

We lost what was supposed to be our go to RB. And when JJ got on the field as qb... well that was a kick to the nuts.

JF3 seems to be what a lot of people are banking on, but I do not think he can throw the ball. The Oline had a hard time.

Next week is Arky lite. Hopefully, the qb emerges and the Oline grows more consistent with each game.

I have to admit, I was very happy with the D. And I am not writing off the season. We just need to see the offense get an identity. IT never did so last season and it was frustrating to see the team pick up where it left off in that regard.

As much as I love to heap dirt on opposing teams in the West... Auburn showed some really good things against Clemson.

My concern is that, for whatever reason, Gus has increasingly become inflexible in his offense. A guy who used to tailor his offense to his players has lost his way.

He also tends to get too emotional during ball games. To wrapped in things and I think he makes calls sometimes out of sheer frustration.

Except for game week I wish Gus nothing but the best. I think, however, that he needs to take a step back and gather himself and his program. Auburn can still have a very good season.

I think it's more a case of Gus trying to reinvent the wheel and prove to everyone how smart he is. I was just reading some of his post game presser where he said AU has been practicing that qb rotation for a while and that each player has a package of plays. That's the problem. Successful teams don't need to play 5 qb's to be successful, they need one. If this is the way Gus is running practice, he is robbing a legitimate starter of valuable reps in practice. Kerryon Johnson is also being robbed of valuable reps to get better as a running back because Gus has him off running bush league plays in practice at qb instead. If he is going to call White the starter, he should be giving him 90% of the reps in practice with the starting unit. Build an offense around him and make it work.

You pick a quarterback and you sink or swim with that quarterback. The team needs a leader and the offense needs an identity. You dont get that with 5 quarterbacks and a hodge podge of offensive schemes. You get a muddled mess like what we saw Saturday.

Hear, hear sir. If you don't have one starter then you have no starter.

... hard to 'tail' with Gus's puss-n-boot play calling.

Thing that bothers me is his lack of ownership, of assuming the blame, and letting the team know it wasn't them.

We are running 3 very different and very basic offenses instead of one solid and developed offense, and we are asking our online to adjust offenses on a play by play basis. You can't win this way on any level.

I thought Herb Hand was hired to help Gus with the offense? What about Kodi Burns? Those guys surely to goodness voiced their opinion and told Gus this offensive game plan was immature and just plain disjointed.

even Jeremy Johnson doesnt understand why he keeps putting in Jeremy Johnson.

That time he put him in on 3rd down, I was thinking that he must want him to fail. The kid is a headcase and you put him in at the worst possible time? Defies all logic.
