Trying hard not to like Bert

but this "Being Bret Bielema" show making it difficult. He's not as big a douche as I thought. His idea of creating and keeping a culture at any cost is going to pay big dividends for the Hogs long term. Hate to say that as a Auburn man, but they're gonna be a tough out from here on out. He's another example of just how many damn good coaches there are in this league. It's really unbelievable if you think about it.

Nope.
He is fat and stupid.
Good editing does not change the facts.

I watched that series... And as much as I hate to say it... Bert is likable

Bert is likeable. That's just all there is to it. Now, I think a lot of people try to extrapolate that to the field and that's now how this works, but the guy has a good personality, seems to be a man of principle and bagged a women he should have no business being with.
A horrific looking man, insanely overweight is a multi millionaire with a smoking wife. He's basically a true American success story. What's not to like?

Thanks OP. Solid post. Glad to know other fans appreciate that he is trying to do it "the right way." We dont always win but I think most Hog fans like to be seen as a clean, respectable program from the outside fans, especially after the Bobby Petrino incident. That just made us look bad all the way around. He may not get us to the next level, but Im glad they guy is our coach.
EDIT: That said, he could stand to lose about 80 pounds lol

When Miles retires or gets forced out, I would have no problem whatsoever with LSU making a run at Bert.
