Anybody who doesn't upvote this thread needs to be banned from SECRant.

This was debunked the other day but whatever

Anyway, this needs to be used as evidence at the trial where we ultimately decide to kick aTm out of the SEC. And of course we kick Mizzou out as well.

From 1947-1973, TAMU had a win percentage of .393. That was 120th out of 130 Division 1A teams in win percentage. Wake Forest, Indiana and Kansas State were the only 3 major conference teams with lower winning percentages.
And that 27 year span actually includes their 4 years under Bear Bryant. If you exclude Bryant's best 3 years TAMU was 128th out of 130 Division 1A teams in win percentage over this time frame, with a .318 win percentage.

A&M baseball finished #2 in final baseball polls in '89 despite not even making the CWS. Sorry your convenient time/number line doesnt hold up.

The mods need to allow users to make multiple upvotes for this thread.
I don't believe that any more than 1 upvote should be allowed per user on almost any thread. But this thread is just so outstanding that more than 1 upvote needs to be allowed.

You do understand no one gives a shite about polls when there is a tournament to determine where each team finishes nationally.

Baseball isn't a big 3 sport, they have a women's basketball title and that >>>>>>>>> men's college baseball.

I researched that after your post. And what you're referring to is an obscure poll called Baseball America that rated TAMU baseball as #2 after 1989.
However, the more accepted and well known Collegiate Baseball Poll rated TAMU as #9.

The sad, sad legacy of Texas Aggie athletics. A cautionary tale for would be winners.

But, but, the 1939 national championship.

It appears the Baseball America poll was at the end of the regular season, as the Collegiate Baseball Poll has the 8 CWS participants ranked 1-8, which A&M was not a part of and was ranked 9 at the end of the year. So, it is true that Texas A&M has never been ranked in the top 4 of the final poll in any of the big three men's sports since 1940. Amazing.
