Just hypothetical here, which scenario would you prefer:
Scenario 1: Beat Bama, but not win the West?
Scenario 2: Lose to Bama, but win the West; but lose the SECCG by double digits?
So far results:
Scenario 1: 5
Scenario 2: 1
Not answering and attempting to troll: 10
Guess you were wrong cbi8

These are the worst threads on the rant.
Scenario 2. Anyone who picks 1 is wrong.

Scenario 1 saves Les's job. Scenario 2 might get him fired.

Reality = losing to Alabama,Ole Miss, and Arkansas.

No. We might lose three games, but it ain't gonna be the exact same three games as last year.
I could see us beating Bama, Ole Miss and Arkansas, and losing to Florida and A&M.

Why is that? Both have you out of the college playoffs, but one gets the Bama monkey off your back and probably saves Les his job.
Apparently division titles dont mean anything unless you win in Atlanta. At least that is what the board has been telling Mizzou for the last year and a half.
So why is it so obvious?

I'll just cheer like hell for LSU each week.
IF they lose a game, I'll cheer like hell even more the next week.
I'll enjoy the season week by week and let the end take care of itself.

What does someone from Mizzou know about reality?

honestly, this is a pretty good question, but not detailed enough.
would need to know lsu's overall record in scenario 1.

Scenario 1. I'm not an Ole Miss fan, IDGAF about an SEC West Championship. SEC Championship and a playoff appearance or the season is a wash. Might as well beat Bama in the process if we don't win the SEC.

Option 1, which shouldn't be taken as respect for the quality of their team. I just hate Gumps. Want to see more of this:

I don't get why any fan from any school with any level of success would adopt this outlook. Must be miserable.

I want to beat every team on our schedule, but our goal every year is to get to Atlanta...regardless of how that haopens. Onice there, take care of business and you're in the Playoffs...

I was thinking the reason lsu loses in atl is because les is no longer coaching

We goin to the SHIP
But in your alternate universe scenario, #1 is the only answer. In #1 we could still go the playoff with only 1 loss. In scenario #2, there is absolutely no chance at the playoff.
