Good on you Ole Miss. It may not cause much of a ripple, but it's a good step away from a very dark past. I'm glad both South Carolina and Mississippi have taken actions to do this recently.

Sorry bro but I don't think that getting rid of a song that most people don't sweat anymore is really much of a progressive action. I can literally not think of a single black person I knew in my time there that ever mentioned a problem with the song. I think that most black people back in the day worried about lack of access to education, political power, fair legal recourse as well as worrying about being beaten, murdered, etc. This is PR. PR is important though so I will let the experts make the call and you won't see me undermining their efforts.
