DEFENDING NFC CHAMPION - PANTHERS!!!!!!
Panthers kickoff the preseason tonight against the Baltimore Ravens. Just a preseason game, but at least we won't have to worry about Steve Smith going off on us again.
Will the NFC Champion Panthers, A.K.A. 'Merica's Team, be the same without Josh Norman? It remains to be seen, however, everyone is back on offense and the DL and LB corp are stout. I think we'll still get close to the same number of wins as last year.

I think and always think he's overrated. (apparently getting abused by Desean Jackson in practice daily)
Same with Richard Sherman. (only covers one side of th field)
Norman all the sudden shows up as this elite CB at 28 years old? Or maybe it was because the guys in front (Pass rush and Panthers D) became elite.
Gimme Revis in his prime any day.

People have different motivators, but what I've found playing Fantasy Football for years is there's usually a direct correlation to performance and $/Contract Year. Last year was Norman's contract year, so he blew up.
Here's some guys for this year. Alshon is one of them...and he's one of my Keepers in my FFB league!! I think he counts as my 9th Rd pick, which will be an exceptional value.

I remember that feeling. It was 2013. SC went 11-2, CAR went 12-4 and my FFB team went 13-3. I think I had a few Trifecta weekends where SC, CAR and my FFB team all won...great feeling.

Brandon Wilds just scored his first career TD w/ ATL!

D Byrd with a 48 yard PR!
Posted on 8/11/16 at 7:53 pm to CockInYourEar
Byrd with a 28 yd KR.
He is hesitating out and still making big plays. If he gets some confidence he is going to start scoring TDs on these returns.

Byrd with a nice 35-yard one-handed reception.

I would've thought QB Joe Webb could run the zone read better, he has been kinda awful.
Posted on 8/20/16 at 3:41 pm to CockInYourEar
Byrd is having a decent game for CAR, he missed a TD catch, but has been making plenty of other plays. Joe Person, reporter here in CLT and former writer at The State, has predicted that D Byrd is going to make the 53 man roster.

Mike Davis is avg'ing 9.8 ypc for SF do far. If he keeps that up he just might steal some carries from Hyde this year.
Posted on 8/23/16 at 6:53 am to CockInYourEar
He's going to have to surpass Harris, Draughn and possibly Taylor on the Depth Chart fist.

I look for the Falcons to be improved. Having a good center can improve your entire line and that's exactly what we have now with Alex Mack. I think our pass rush should improve a bit this season and I expect the secondary to look much better as well.
I am also excited about Mohammad Sanu. The guy can play and will be an easy safety valve for Matt when he can't get the ball to Julio. Although Matt loves to force throws to Julio....

Hey guys.
Just wanted to do my yearly Tennessee Titans post, reminding you that we are indeed still a franchise.
Don't worry, I won't post much about the Titans' season. In fact, I'm confident this post is the most you'll read about them all year.
Anyway, Mike Mularkey is our head coach. Yes, the same Mike Mularkey who went 2-14 in ONE season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. WE HIRED THE GUY WHO WENT 2-14 WITH THE frickING JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS. So yeah, our 2016 season already went into the shitter back in January. That's pretty cool.
We do have this guy, though. He's also known as the guy who is way too good to be on our shitstain of a roster. All the tools and ability in the world, and he plays for Tennessee. It's a damn shame. Look for him to have a monster first half of the season, only to get injured by terrible O-line play and a 2-6 record. Should be a real delight to watch.
Big pickups in the offseason include Demarco Murray and Rishard Matthews. We'll see how we'll they'll be utilized. Our WR core should actually be decent, anchored by the best TE in the NFL, Delanie Walker. RB should be better than recent years, but who the frick knows. Murray and Derrick Henry as a backfield tandem seems pretty dangerous, but I'm sure we'll find a way to make sure they average 2.1 yards per carry.
Dick LeBeau leads our defense, otherwise known as the guy who should've hung it up years ago. We spent most of our late round picks trying to bulk up the secondary with some lackluster talent. Our starters were torched early in our preseason game vs. the Panthers, immediately shattering any optimism I had for improvement. Like it looked fricking awful, and those are the best secondary guys on our roster.
So, that's pretty much it. The schedule is somewhat favorable for us to maybe get to 5 wins. IMO, this season will be a success if we finish 3rd in the AFC South, the shittiest division in the NFL. Probably won't happen though.
My prediction: 4-12.
The Tennessee Titans: Where the owners hate the team and fans; the team hates the owners and the fans; and the fans hate the owners, the team, and themselves.

I heard the titans did an auction for the first two plays in the first preseason game, and the two winners picked better plays than the coaching staff.

That's correct. The first 2 plays, called by the fans, went for 41 yards.
The next 3 plays, called by coaches, went 5 total yards.
This is what we have to look forward to.
