If Bama had lost OJ Howard, Ruben Foster, Tim Williams, Ryan Anderson, Jon Allen, and Eddie Jackson to the draft then the the gap would not be so wide. 4/6 of those guys are 1st team all SEC. Tim Williams is 2nd team and might be drafted ahead of all of them.
Bama lost talent, but was able to retain, 5 all SEC players from the draft as well. There is still a sizable gap.
Bama has some 1st Rd talent that can't even get on the field until the Jr year. While 1st Rd talents are day 1 starters at LSU. That's the difference in talent levels right now.

BhamDore is a troll, but he's spot on here, at least before this year. Getting our juniors to stay this year finally put LSU on a level to compete better with Bama.
But LSU fans who think Bama's losses to the draft are going to push them back are in for a rude awakening. Once again Bama will be one of the nation's elite teams - unless they have QB problems, but tha's the curse of college football
