These are all terrible.
For LSU I'd say these are the worst.

These were the worst. I hated the thin stripe on the helmet back then too.

Those were bad but the power ranger uniforms were the worst by a mile.

All black looks good, but this helmet was terrible. Thankfully it's not coming back.

I can't remember the year (2005 maybe?) but one year Florida wore an all blue jersey and one orange sleeve against UGA that was one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. Va Tech wore a similar jersey against Miami in that same year.

I'm not opposed to alt uniforms. It just is what it is these days in college sports, and if It it gets the players excited, even better. FFWD to 1:25
That being said, my love/hate of the uniforms themselves is tied heavily to how we performed in them. So, my favorite a&m alts were the 2012 black unis at miss st for snow bowl 2.
I dry heave a little bit when I see what we wore at Lsu in 2013.

I actually think they wouldn't look too bad if they weren't solid purple. If they kept the striping (unlike the picture below), it would look pretty good in my opinion.

I don't think it looks terrible. Certainly not as good as the yellow pants, but it still works to me.
The white helmet, yellow jersey, white pants just looks like hot garbage in my opinion. I think it's the helmet. The gold helmet and jersey with the white pants looks substantially better to me.

the change to purple numbers for the 1998 game is what made the uniform look much better to me

I was there that night at they looked great. The whole stadium was blacked out and was rocking.
