And I'm sure I'm bias to. No one knows at all because this is all new still with the new set up. But I do think that the law firm that ole miss paid 1.5 million knows more then me and they picked the self imposed stuff and there job was to be close with that. Not only is their reputation with futur clients is on the line but with the NCAA.
We will see.
We will see.

What else y'all got? That one guy who said the investigation is still on going has the only point against anything I've said. Intelligent and knowledgeable arguments like that one please.
It's not really even about the money to keep a coach quiet. As I posted above, firing him is an admittance of guilt. You just recieved one NOA from the NCAA. Firing a coach over this would guarantee another one and the NCAA would be PISSED that you didn't come forward with this during the first investigation. Besides, 1.5 mil wouldn't touch what it would likely take to get a coach to take the fall for this. His career and legacy as a coach would be ruined and I highly doubt you have anyone on staff that cares enough about OM to do that.
Then you have to keep in mind (like I said earlier) how this would effect current recruits and recruiting for the next year.
Face it man, you lost this argument. Better luck with the next one.

Was he ever indicted on those claims? I legit don't know. If he was and there's proof, kick him off immediately. Only trashy coaches keep someone like that on a team
The answer is no one knows because the records are sealed. However, the interesting thing is 2 of his classmates did serve prison time. Also loosing his scholarship to Penn State and having to go to a rather intensive prep school for a year was a good punishment for being associated for in this deal.

He will be gone. As mad as the OM posters were about Simmons there is NO WAY they would be hypocritical.

Nah, freeze will take a hard stance and suspend Wiley a year... otherwise known as a redshirt. Wiley was gonna RS anyway, but nevermind that

No need for a little thing like human decency to stand in the way of msu fans trying to crack jokes about ole miss.
Trash coach
Trash program

Please he said he took money from coaches. I did one NCAA event that we had to travel for and the first thing that happened was coaches handed me $50 per diam. There are a lot of ways coaches give players money that is legal.
But I'm sure you know for a fact that when he said yes to taking money from coaches he meant pay for play.
Well. That WAS the question from the media. And then the text message said it was for his mothers light bill. So, yes. It would seem that way. Sorry you disagree. Doesn't change what he said or the text message though, does it?

It would be wrong to pay a player illegally. There is a fund for emergencies that can legally be used. If you don't know what you're talking about then stop wasting my time.
Yes, there is. You are right. but none of them cover light bills for a players mother. especially since said mother had enough money to move from Florida(I think) to Mississippi. Who doesn't know what they are talking about?

As I posted above, firing him is an admittance of guilt
It is cut and dry as to whether we are guilty of paying players through the opp fund or not. There is a paper trail. We admitted guilt as we self reported the majority or the NOA and suspended Tunsil. As I have said before, we arent going on nation tv and letting the guy who was accused of paying Tunsil to continue to recruit players if there was any chance he could be caught paying players. I dont understand why that makes less sense to you than the conspiracy theory you have drawn up.

Then you have to keep in mind (like I said earlier) how this would effect current recruits and recruiting for the next year.
Helloooo. If we are caught doing this then we are fricked and everyone is fired. Firing a rouge coach doenst do shite when it comes to recruiting. Ask State. Ask Alabama. Thats what you do to save your own arse and your program.

Not on the same level as what ole Miss is accused of.

Ole Miss is not on the same level of Alabama....no matter what you think.

That wasn't my point. My point was he is someone easily replaced and silenced, thus the perfect fall guy if they actually did anything wrong, yet he's still out recruiting.
Is this an example of your common sense? Doesn't common sense tell you if you fire someone and they have damaging evidence on you they will expose this evidence?
Do you honestly believe if he knew something that could harm Ole Miss they would fire him instead of doing something to keep him quiet?

Yet you fricks believe the only way OM signed the '13 was by paying them
I had no idea I EVER said that. Mind giving me a link?

So you dont think Bo Davis has anything on Bama? You dont think the coach state fired had anything on state? Those were actual coaches with actual careers. This guy is a player development coach at his last stop. So yeah, common sense. That and Freeze and Co are going on national television saying that if a coach paid a player illegally (easily proved as mentioned earlier) then they would fire the coach. He didnt have to do that. What does that gain doing that if there is any chance of guilt? fricks like you arent going to all of sudden believe him and he get his image back.

I had no idea I EVER said that. Mind giving me a link?
So you dont? I was just assuming since everyone else on this board does and you think we are hiding a conspiracy to save a player development coach from ratting. You obviously believe we paid Tunsil while he was here, so you dont think we bought him as a recruit? As the theme goes in my posts in this thread... Im just using common sense.
