Our defense gave up like 440 yards rushing in that game, yet somehow we only gave up 24 points. As much crap as Chavis gets, that was a perfect example of how his defenses do enough to help the team win every game even if they are getting dominated in some ways.
I was there that night and it was fun. Great game and very loud. But the game was not as close at the end as the score was. We downed the ball three times inside the 5 yard like to kill the clock. Could have easily been a 2 td win.
Great game and it was fun finally beating LSU.

Yes, but as I recall, that was because after the McCaleb score, we got the ball inside the 20, didn't move very far and went for it on fourth down and failed to move the chains. So, yes, you could have scored there, but it was a moot point after we didn't do anything with the ball. And while I agree you guys had the better day of it, and we didn't "deserve" to win, a game that's tied with 5 minutes left with Auburn with the ball at its own 30 yard line, is pretty close.
