You can link whatever you want all day long and nothing will change Texas is the major university in that state. A&M is a great school and joining the SEC has really helped them, whenever you ask people off the street no one who isn't an A&M fan or graduate is going to think they are the "flagship" university of Texas. That's in Austin.

So it is flagship or major university? We are defining flagship as what some random people off the street think and not with facts? You're better than that.

I disagree. Only those people who are conditioned to think of "University of State" as flagship schools would mistake the University of Texas as the only flagship school in that state.

If you're familiar with Texas or have lived there, as I have, there's no debate that both A&M (the oldest school) and the University of Texas are both flagships. As with all things in that state, they have more and bigger everything.
