Ole Miss comparisons to the USC case...

I see this a lot. Isn't what happened at USC different than what we already know happened at Ole Miss?
Weren't the benefits at USC paid by agents, and not by USC staffers?
I would think that the NCAA would impose stronger penalties on Ole Miss because their coaching staff and employees are apparently involved in their impermissible benefits.
What recent case compares most closely to what we already know about what happens down in Oxford?

It's no different than Bama coaches paying players (alot better comparison). They got nothing. The NCAA isn't even what it was during the USC saga.

Problem is they can not connect coaching staff to the pay. I think the punishment will be more than ULL but similar. I know about the Memphis booster and it's a not a clear case. Herbert Moore was not a 5 or even 4 stat recruit. Just happened to be in the wrong van on college trips. If you look at what ole miss is charged with there is no pay for play. It's a bunch of hotel rooms and loan rental cars. Could get a bowl ban but Unfortunately it probably will not happen.

Hmmm, you obviously can't read can you? Please reference the allegation in the NOA where Ole Miss staff paid players to play? And don't give me but but but Tunsil said on draft day crap. Right now know one knows what is coming of that.

Impermissible payments are impermissible payments.
Doesn't matter if it's a coach, booster, or agent.
The only real big deal is if the coach was complicit in the payments, if that's the case Freeze probably won't work again in the P5. OM will end up with 15-2-3.
15 schollies lost.
2 year bowl ban.
3 years probation.
The rest will be all about Coach Freeze.

I think it's very unlikely that the coaching staff can be connected to direct payments of players. I'm sure we're cheating our asses off, but the NCAA doesn't have enough tangible evidence to punish us as harshly as we deserve. That's how everyone in the program is playing it, anyways. Then again, maybe we get the death penalty
