What's the story behind many of the Vols being so vocally anti-college baseball?
Is there a historical antecedent here?
It seems to go beyond the shoulder-shrug/"meh, I'm not really a fan," and enters the territory of "I have to convince everyone I'm right about this."

They'll never admit it but a part of it has to be because Vandy is so good at it. This narrative really ramped up after Vandy won their title.

It's what bothers me the most.
I don't like the fans of college baseball that pimp it as on par with basketball or football. Most claims about college baseball are true.
BUT, I still enjoy it and so do many people in the SEC. And every year we have threads and posts of people who aren't fans telling us how little they care about it. It can be legitimate threads discussing a game and these people go out of their way to share that they don't like it.
I enjoy the sport, and don't give a frick if you do or not. Why do you care that I like it?

Tennessee considers themselves a women's basketball school.
