Not quite like in the past. Mixed kids are commonly some of the most attractive people, especially in rural areas where the genes seem to be getting too similar. Plus, our president for the last 8 years is mixed. That problem is on the decline.

I don't think this is a problem at all in decent sized cities. Maybe in very small country towns. But I don't expect a teacher with a masters degree to end up in bum frick Egypt. Things have changed a lot between generations.
