My honest advice is head straight for the storm. Go in their environment and show them how brave you can be. If they are going to shoot you it will happen at the wedding or some other event unless your girlfriend is going to exclude them from her life (doesn't sound like it). So don't look at this as a one time event to "get through." Look at it as a lifetime problem you have to manage starting today. It will only get harder if you show weakness right off the bat.

I can't believe he's thinking of doing it any other way. He sounds like a huge puss being scared to eat at his future in-laws house. God dude it's a fricking dinner. Man the frick up and stop being a coward.

She has no issue dropping them. They depend on her more than anything. But in that light it does make more sense to go to dinner. I don't want it to be a question of my manhood.
