He commits to LSU then a couple of days ago comes out with his top 5 SEC schools, huh?

Also making the cut was his previous leader, Alabama, as well as Auburn, Mississippi State and Georgia. Guidry, a four-star prospect currently enrolled at Hinds Community College (Raymond, Miss.), previously played his high school football at Livonia (La.) High School. A Louisiana native, Guidry committed to the hometown Tigers after spending time with wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig during the Bayou Picnic last month.

Let me see if I got this right:

He names USCe his leader. He then commits to them. He decommits from USCe within two months of his commitment. LSU offers. He's from Louisiana, so most assume he is going to LSU. He visits Alabama, names Alabama his favorite, and then four days later commits to LSU. Three weeks after his commitment, he names a top five.

This is actually spot on.

Pretty much. It's going to be like the Arden Key situation, but LSU will be taking the place of SC in that role. I know we've washed our hands of it and aren't pursing him anymore.

The craziest thing about his situation is he started his career at mcneese state, redshirted, then transferred to juco. He went from an unranked senior in high school to a top 5 national juco player without playing 1 down of college football.

Perfectly sums up my feelings towards this recruitments and the whole process for many kids across the country. I don't blame them for taking advantage of the process to visit, but some just handle it a little less classy.

These kids act like 5th graders, honestly.

He was a standout in high school just had no hope of going to a FBS school due to academics, then during workouts at his JUCO he stood out big time and that's when the offers started rolling in.

That's why I stopped following. I lasted from 2008-2015 and that was enough for me.

Jeudy
Collins
Smith
Thomas
Ruggs

Bama can't take them all, Collins and Thomas might get left out.

Did he get a Bama bump after naming them his favorite?

If they all commit to Bama, will there be seven 5-star receivers in one class?

Been following recruiting since 08. I'm kinda spoiled, Bama has had the top ranked signing class in 8 of those 9 years.

Six stud receivers, but only four spots open. Bama problems.
