Hard to imagine anyone touching that 25-game SEC winning streak of Florida's anytime soon. If Saban can only muster an 11-game SEC win streak, its going to be pretty difficult for anyone to get to 25 or more in this age of parity.

This helps explain how anyone who can remember the dominant Florida teams of the 1990s can put Spurrier into the same league as Saban when it comes to coaching. If you look at accomplishments on paper, Saban wins big. And if you look at championships, Saban wins big.

But there was something about those Florida teams back in the 1990s that Alabama under Saban hasn't even been able to match. And its not really even tangible. Quite frankly, it just seemed like there was never hope for your team to beat Florida back in those days. No one could except for Florida State or Nebraska, who were just as dominant. While Sabans' overall run, when you consider accomplishments, is more impressive... you know they are going to slip up once a year and play another close game or two each year as well.

Not to be nitpicky, but he didn't ask that question; he asked for the "longest SEC win streak," meaning regular-season conference games only. You included SEC CGs and BCS NCGs with your totals. Also, some of the "wins" that you included have since been forfeited or vacated.
