I assume he is about to get his team to the Supers. Chatter he may has interest for the UK job. Maybe a solid hire if it happens.

$500,000 in Lexington is a hell a lot more then the $150000 he is making at Santa Barbara.

Is Kentucky talking to the Wright State coach at all?

I would imagine Lovelady is a target. I am sure he is a target for other schools looking for a coach. He would be a great fit as well.

would be a good hire. UCSB was shite before he came aboard and theyve been postseason regulars since.

Does UK have that much money for a baseball coach, or will it be diverted from basketball player payroll?

Aggie, know your shite...we were paying Hendo over $450000/year to coach at UK. Cohen was offered over $75000"/year to stay at UK. Yes, we have money to throw around.

I am like what I am hearing. Hope we land him. It would be a great hire. Kendall Rogers seemed to hint in a tweet that he is impressed where UK is heading.

Would be a tremendous hire in my opinion. I could see him taking the job as well. I think Cohen will make 800k next year.

I know UK made an outrageous hire to keep Cohen in Lexington. The pull going back home and lack of a stadium helped him back to Starkville. Y'all are lucky to have him...he is a hell of a coach.

Could you live in Santa Barbara on what they are paying him? Having over $500000 or more in Lexington is a nice chunk of change plus the camp money.

Probably. Not like I could in Lexington or anywhere else in the SEC for that money. I just think Santa Barbara is paradise. Sometimes that's worth the $. But I don't know anything about him or his situation.

Ben Howland move from a posh LA suburban area to Starkville, Ms. It can happen.

UCSB when granted a host has had to travel over 3 hours to a stadium that can accommodate an NCAA regional. If UK wants him I imagine they can get him, though Cali coaches with successful pedigrees from the west coast haven't worked out very well in the SEC East recently either.

Howland was also unemployed and cashing checks from his UCLA termination.
