Relax. Reese is a stone cold lock. I'm curious to see if Jones commits today too as I have heard rumored.

Shouldn't be. I'd be stunned if both didn't choose Alabama. They both just visited Alabama and both are deciding on the same day. I was about 90% sure we'd get Reese and 70% sure we'd get Jones before the visit. Now I'm 95% sure we land both.

If we do land both today, does that start the dominoes falling in our favor re Sexton and Petty?? I sure hope so. Get those 4 signed and sit back and enjoy the ride.

Does anybody know if we have a firm number we can take this cycle and if so, what is that number?

I believe we can take 4 for sure. There has been speculation about a 5th spot, but it is unconfirmed.

Apparently a guy on TI said were getting Galin on Friday. That would explain why Avery followed him on Twitter the same day he followed Reese and Herb.

If that's true, this is shaping up to be a monster week for the program. Hopefully a 5th spot is available and we can get Petty and Sexton on board.

That would be an unbelievable class for us.

Anybody think someone like Brandon Austin would be a transfer candidate in the future?

We have 4 seniors on the team and a full roster so that leaves 4 spots. If Sexton, Petty, or Brown want to come and be a 5th person, we will make room (either by transfer or making junior non-scholarship).

I think it's 4 + 1 if needed. Bola, Taylor, Hale, and Collins will all be out due to graduation. Then I imagine if they get over 4 guys, they'll take Avery Jr off of scholarship because the family obviously has the money to do so.

Brandon might be a transfer candidate, but I'd like to have him stay. Really in CBB seemingly everyone is a transfer candidate

Any idea where we would rank if we do grab all three this week (Reese, Galin, Herb)?

Sexton will help with Hammonds (I believe). I doubt Reese or Jones will have any impact on Sexton or Petty.

Also we'll sign at least 4 but 5 more than likely. We'll probably look for grad transfer if we only sign 4 high schoolers.

Brandon should have a chance to contribute this year - we're kind of low on guards as it is.

Next year we'd have this on the roster as far as guards go: Avery Jr., Dazon, Armond, and Brandon Austin. Hopefully Herb too.

I mean they have Nick King and Riley listed as guard/forwards, but I don't think anyone really thinks Riley is going to play a lot of the 2.

That would make me think that if we get Galin and Reese, we'd be less likely to bring in Rayshaun Hammonds too. If we have those two and Herb as commitments, then it needs to be all in on Sexton and Petty (I mean I'm sure it pretty much is anyway). Clearly if we miss on one of those two that would change things.

Front court players for next year if we sign Reese and Galin: Donta, Giddens, Reese, Galin Smith, Braxton, King, Norris. I think we'd be good to go.

I thought so. Maybe I'm wrong, but I remember talk of taking him off scholarship to make room when we tried to get that big man (name escapes me) at the end of the last recruiting cycle prior to losing Ferguson.

I'm no expert at all, but I would think somewhere in the 20s

We get Sexton and Rayshaun, then it's a top 10 class.

It would suck for Sexton to go to Kansas. Kansas will be Kansas regardless, so I get the decision to go there. Alabama needs game changers like him to be the face of the program for at least a year or two. It does wonders for the program.

Along with this, Avery has been on him since day 1.
