Not really. Bear Bryant swore he would never play at Auburn. What a stupid and arrogant position to take with another SEC team. Or, if not stupid and arrogant, then...fearful? Insisting on playing your home games where you want to play them is not crying. It's just finally saying "no" to the spoiled little titty baby who constantly makes unreasonable demands.

It would be like UGA demanding they move the Georgia-Florida game out of Jacksonville because it isn't a neutral site when in reality they are just looking for an edge because they are sick of losing. That was basically the reason behind the it. They were bitching about it for years but Bryant told them to EABOD.

Good stuff

Alabama was scared to play in Auburn, they constantly cried and stomped their feet like a five year old child about it.

The first Iron Bowl played at Auburn was in 1989. The debate had raged for several years through the 1980s.

Iron Bowl series, 1980-89: Auburn 6 wins, Alabama 4 wins

Try again.

Oh, and, if Georgia or Florida ever wanted to move the WLOCP to home and home sites instead of Jacksonville, I doubt very seriously that either school would be so fricking stupid and arrogant as to say...

This is silly. UGA or UF don't play 3 or 4 games a year there like Bama used to in B'ham. It was a decided disadvantage for AU and anyone who can't see that is too much of a homer to see it objectively.
