They need to understand and realize, though, that it will take more than just showing emotions to make Georgia go over the top.

No one has made anything like that statement.

The statement I made was most of the top shelf coaches were emotional. But being emotional did not a top shelf coach make. I stand by it.

You can dig up exceptions to anything. Dungy being one. Most of the better coaches are very driven, fiery, emotional guys. But that doesn't mean they all are.

There are a lot of shitty emotional coaches, but you haven't heard of them because they are alcoholics selling Insurance in their home town.

All coaches are emotional. but not all coaches rant and rave and play cheerleader. saban, as a whole does not crawl all over his players all the time. he has even said that in a big game he plays it close to the vest emotionally so the players around him don't get too emotional. The times he gets emotional (Typically) are when they are playing an inferior opponent and they are not playing up to their potential.

However, you make a good, and valid point. I think all great coaches are emotional people to a degree. It's the competitive spirit you have to have in order to be successful. Where I think most people on this board is wrong is that they think that spirit has to be on full display or it doesn't exist. (This is not aimed at you, specifically, WhopperDawg) I whole heartedly believe that Richt died with every loss....he just didn't think he had to make a spectacle out of it like Muschamp and so many others. For every good to great coach that shows great emotion on the sideline, there is a terrible coach that does the same.
