Seems possible that SEC may host 7 regionals with no other teams in NCAA tourney

LSU, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt are each 2-0 in Hoover, so it seems likely that the SEC will host seven regionals next week.
I think Kentucky is on the outside looking in right now, and Alabama probably needs to beat Florida to boost its RPI enough to get on the happy side of the bubble, depending on what happens in other conferences.

Even with a loss to Florida, I'd be surprised if we weren't a 3 seed somewhere

Can you explain the bolded part?
ETA: Never mind, I just got what you meant by that part. Slow coffee day

The league isn't super competitive competitive. It is a super top heavy. This proves it.

Im thinking Kentucky and Alabama will get in. Looking around the country, 500 in the SEC should be enough to get them the nod. But that is my opinion.

Midweek losses, coupled with being swept by South Carolina caught up to Alabama. Would need a win over Florida to make it now. So it's doubtful, and Gaspard is hopefully out. Because god knows he won't fire any assistant.

This would be analogous to the SEC having 7 teams in the NCAA basketball tournament, all being a 4 seed or higher. Pretty crazy.

Probably not IMPOSSUMBLE that that could happen.

If the SEC doesn't get 7 host sites, I would love to hear the argument for leaving one of the teams out.
Florida, State, and A&M are going to get national seeds. LSU, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt all have similar resumes. Head to head matchups are a clusterfrick with these 4 teams.
