Memo to SEC: There's something wrong with your tournament format when three of the top ten teams in the country have to play a play-in game. Go back to 8 teams and quit saddling bubble teams with another loss while wrecking relief pitching for half of your legitimate field.

Then those three teams should have won more conference games. They actually are doing teams a favor not making it a pod or true double elimination 6 team brackets.

Then you can have a team like LSU with a top 25 RPI not make the NCAAT because they finished 9th in a crazy deep league.
The SEC realized it was worth the awkward tournament if it meant 9 or 10 teams could make regionals.

Baseball should never have a single elimination format. There's no need to have 12 teams in the SECT
