This statement is totally full of shite! It'd be next to impossible to be the best in those categories and win only eight games a year...the final statement destroys the content of the piece.

Who wrote that? Surely that was not written by someone who represents the University in an official capacity.
I can see it ginning up A&M fans to have something to be proud of but it read really bad. "We have all of these great resources and facilities yet we are at best the 3rd best football program in our State. We would rather only win 8 games and have all of this cool stuff than to win 11-12 games with far lesser resources. Our stuff is better than their stuff and that is really what matters to A&M alums and boosters. Forget that we suck at actually accomplishing anything. We are bigger and have more money so we are superior."
